Catherine Ware (left) and Wendy Knauer (right) received 20-year pins at the November GMM. Wendy has served as Membership Chair, Newsletter Editor, Corresponding Secretary and chaired house hostesses for the House and Garden Tour. She is also known for growing over 100 different kinds of orchids. One year, Wendy’s Flower Show orchid was so large it needed a separate category of its own.
Catherine Ware is a Board member and NGC 2017-2018 President-elect. Catherine has experience as NGC President, serving a term in 2001-2003. She has also served as House and Garden Tour Chair, 1st VP of Programs and Education, Flower Show Chair and Year Book Chair for 8 years. She is a master gardener and on the Board of Directors of Naples Botanical Garden. Her garden on 18th Avenue South was a show stopper. Now her patio garden in Moorings Park is a must-see for new Provisionals and members who want to see how much gardening can be done on a patio.
