Could the colorful, lush flowering trees and unusual fruits that grow in Southeast Asia also be grown in Southwest Florida? Chad Husby, Naples Garden Club presenter at the April General Membership Meeting, will compare Florida’s climate to that of Southeast Asia and share what he has learned about the plants in Southeast Asian gardens.

Dr. Chad Husby is the Botanical Horticulturalist at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami. His main focus has been finding, cultivating and propagating new plants to enhance the Fairchild Garden’s collections. He will bring the gardens of Southeast Asia to life through photos and experiences from his expedition to the area this past summer.

The GMM will be held April 3, 10 am to noon, at the Kapnick Center. Click here to sign up.
