Cruise Rookery Bay
Aboard the GOOD FORTUNE II, a large pontoon boat with a naturalist aboard, you may see some of the 150 different types of birds that call Rookery Bay their home. There’s a great chance of seeing birds of prey such as Bald Eagles and Osprey returning to their nests for the upcoming season. You may see dolphin hunting, manatees, brown pelicans hunting, and, rarely a deer swimming from island to island with her fawn. Join us on November 8th from 9:30 to 12:30. The cost is $32.
Plant Propagation : Tips for starting plants from seeds and cuttings
This year (weather permitting), we are doing the class outside at the front of the office in the Mosaic Garden. Chad Washburn, VP of Conservation at NBG and Brian Galligan, VP of Horticulture at NBG, cut stems that morning and bring seeds. Usually after their lecture they give all the clippings away so everyone can start their own. It’s always been a very informative class. Always gets good reviews. Join us on November 16th at 10:00 a.m. for a two-hour class.
