Maria Lane – I have had many roles in life: stage actress, including a one-woman show as Emily Dickinson; competitive runner in both 5Ks and half marathons; English teacher for Peoria, Dunlap and Lower Kuskokwim (in the Alaskan Bush) School Districts; and now retiree in Naples. I definitely saved the best for last!
Andie Psaras – While I worked as a corporate attorney and then created a national wholesale brand of cookies, my favorite things have always been spending time with my friends and family and being outside. Specifically, being outside with friends and family is the best. My parents raised my sister and me to be in awe of nature and the world around us. I am so happy to be included in the Garden Club. I look forward to all of the new and awesome ideas, plants and friendships to bloom in the coming months and years.
Dennis Bradshaw – I graduated from college, spent 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, then 23 years in the U.S. Secret Service. After that, I spent twelve years in private sector security. Now I garden.
Lynn Wardle – Of course I love getting dirty in my gardens, which in RI are predominately perennial. In FL, I’m having a ball with container gardening. But my favorite garden this year was my first veggie garden with my grandbabies. We had a ball. Eating cherry tomatoes off the vine like candy was grist but the highlight was pulling out the first carrot. Magic!
Lynne Duncan – Throughout a career in commercial design & facilities planning, raising two children and breeding Best in Show German Shorthaired Pointers, the one constant in my life has been the love of gardening. I have been lucky to practice gardening in Ohio, Montana, and now Florida– the new challenge. Skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and fly fishing are my other hobbies.
