MARCH GENERAL MEETING: Botanical Couture

Date: March 4, 2019
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Location: Kapnick Hall in Naples Botanical Garden
Guests: $30

Françoise Weeks, born in Belgium, has infused her work with a quintessential European reverence for flowers and nature. Combined with creativity and mechanical ingenuity, she has crystallized her singular style of Textural Woodlands and Botanical Haute Couture pieces, garnering a global following.

FRANÇOISE WEEKS SPECIAL FLORAL WORKSHOP (MORNING)

Date: March 5, 2019
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Buehler Auditorium in the FGCU Complex at Naples Botanical Garden

All materials will be provided.  We are making jewelry out of very small succulents.

Fashion has been inspired by nature. For Botanical Couture designs, natural materials and floral arrangements take their inspiration from Haute Couture. The options are endless and it is exciting to create show stopping pieces using beautiful flowers and interesting textures. In this workshop you will learn to innovate jewelry design using decorative aluminum wire as a base for rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings or handbag embellishments. Once the base is created, you will decorate it by piecing together the tiny and often overlooked bits of texture occurring in seed pods, tendrils, succulents and herbs along with some striking flowers. Francoise will guide you to completion of your chosen design.

There are limited seats remaining for this event.  Contact 239-947-2000 if you wish to register.
