Each year the Naples Garden Club and Naples Botanic Garden partner in presenting the Naples Flower Show, the largest juried show in Southwest Florida. In 2015, this floral extravaganza takes place on March 27 and 28. The theme is “Naturally Naples….On the 26th Latitude” and will celebrate all things found in and around our beloved Naples.
The logo (seen to the left) for this year’s show will be Plumeria. Commonly named “Frangipani” plumeria are used to make Hawaiian leis and are famous for their sweet fragrance. Naples Garden Club members selected the Plumeria logo to commemorate the group’s relationship with the Naples Botanical Garden whose Plumeria Collection achieved The North American Plant Collections Consortium (NAPCC) recognition in 2012. The NAPCC is a network of botanical gardens working to coordinate a continent-wide approach to plant tissue preservation to promote high standards of plant collections management.
The 2015 Naples Flower Show will also be the first to be held in the newly renovated Naples Botanic Garden. All exhibits will be set up in and around the new Kapnick Hall with vendors and a full-service restaurant just steps away. Guests will enjoy spectacular floral designs, exotic plants, educational displays, lectures and interactive demonstrations.
Admission is $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for children 4-14. No strollers allowed. Show hours are 9 to 5 on both Friday and Saturday. There is no charge for Naples Botanical Garden and Naples Garden Club members.
