Kick-off to 60 Years of Nurturing, Growing & Contributing

Welcome Back to all our members, old and new, as we prepare to celebrate NGC’s 60th Anniversary Year of nurturing, growing and contributing.  This meeting will begin in the Kapnick Center and end in the Naples Garden Club Idea Garden.

First, we will have a business meeting which will include:

  • Meeting our 2012-13 Provisionals
  • Recognizing one of our long-standing members
  • Previewing the 2013 House and Garden Tour and Naples Flower Show
  • Welcoming Dr. William J. Mitsch, Director, FGCU’s Everglades Wetland Research Park

Dr. Mitsch will present a short overview of the important environmental work that he will be conducting at the Kapnick Center and talk about how we can work together.

We will then gather in our own Naples Garden Club Idea Garden to enjoy refreshments representative of the Garden’s bounty.  Chad Washburn, Director of Conservation and Education at NBG will explore “The Edible Garden” as refreshments are served. Please wear a hat decorated to celebrate the edible garden theme.  Entrance to the Naples Botanical Garden is complimentary.

Our gathering will be catered so it is extremely important that we know exactly how many people will be attending. Please wear comfortable shoes for the walk into the Garden.
