The following grants, made possible by everyone who supported our 2016 House & Garden Tour, will fund projects that support our mission and make a measurable impact on the greater Naples’ community:
- $1,300 to Collier Senior Resources to fund trips to Naples Botanical Garden for Golden Gate Seniors.
- $13,000 to Friends of Fakahatchee to construct a 14’ x 20’ Chickee Hut and educational panels with seating for presentations to schools, universities and the general public.
- $5,500 to Grace Place to create a six-bed garden and reading area called Horner Corner.
- $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity to create signs surrounded by landscaping for two Habitat neighborhoods in Immokalee
- $4,500 to JFCS to fund materials for a healthy produce garden.
- $15,000 to Naples Botanical Garden to support three interns.
- $15,000 to Naples Botanical Garden to fund its Legacy Plant Program which conserves rare, historically significant, plants and trees.
- $10,000 to Naples Zoo to assist their hosting a meeting of Association of Zoological Horticulture and underwrite trips to the Naples Botanical Garden and other excursions.
- $8,000 to Providence House to fund their gardening plan to increase the peace of their victims of domestic violence.
- $2,000 to Avalon School to send five local children to Weikiva Summer Camp for a week.
