The Club has awarded small grants to projects since 1953 and in 2025 has now made this a formalized program to broaden our ability to meet immediate community needs on a timely basis. Awards will be made through our Grants Program to qualified non-profit organizations in Collier and Lee Counties throughout the year without an application deadline within ninety days of receipt if approved.  Priority is given to “shovel ready” projects.  This would include, but not be limited to, requests for matching funds, launch or expansion of a project, a one-time event, or an emergency need due to a natural disaster requiring damage remediation.  Types of small projects supported in the past have included projects that related to :  Sustainability of our ecosystems ; Gardens that make a difference in our community environment by raising awareness of the importance of native, pollinator and drought tolerant plants; Critical conservation efforts to preserve ecological integrity of our public open spaces including restoration of beaches, mangroves and native habitats for wildflowers and rare species; Trail restoration including signage; Hands on garden training and education of pre-school children to seniors on food and pollinator plants for a healthy garden and healthy living.; Solutions for limited spaces for gardening and techniques for water conservation.
